As a Montessori educator and teaching artist I make the important connection between a student centered approach to teaching and learning and arts education. With over 13 years of teaching experience in a variety of education settings, I create learning environments where students are empowered to express themselves freely and to use art as a tool for social change.
What I Do
I am available to work with schools that wish to increase their understanding and scope of practice in terms of Montessori Education, as well as established schools seeking to reconnect to their Montessori roots. Opportunities include teacher training and support, environmental design, support with accreditation work, professional development, curriculum development and more.
My approach to private tutoring is hands on and rooted in Montessori pedagogy. My background as a Montessori teacher allows me to personalize the tutoring experience for each student. I have experience with Montessori education for children ages birth to nine, Orton-Gillingman, Project Read, Writers' Workshop, and Singapore Math.
I am excited to share my love of art and theatre with young people through teaching artist opportunities. I am available to teach general theatre classes as well as specialized master classes and workshops to students K-12.
Artist Coaching & Consulting
As a professional artist with over 16 years of experience, I am committed to supporting early career artists as they navigate the world as professionals. For actors and performers I provide audition prep, scene work support, resume and career guidance. For visual artist and writers, I provide support and consulting around kick starting their career. This support includes opportunity and grant research, grant preparation, advocacy work, and career coaching.
